Cracked paint on broken window panes
Wooden cabinets with faded stain
Rat infested walls of asbestos
Adding more shit to the checklist
This place if not weather proof
Showing signs of a leaky roof
(Here we go again)
This place is falling apart
(Here we go again)
Should have known it from the very start
I swear it's always something
Creaking floorboards or roots in the plumbing
All the doors will not close right
The locks will not hold tight
But much to my surprise
The foundation is A-OK
(Here we go again)
This place is falling apart
(Here we go again)
Should have known it from the very start
This place is falling apart

Griefin' Me Out
01:17
|
|
||
Why am I talking to you?
You're obviously not listening, I've nothing to prove.
Unless you've come here to help me
With one of my problems then I suggest you leave.
I don't need your grief I know that you don't need mine.
I'll do my very best not to be unkind.
But the Toll Authority won't get off my back
So before you talk shit could you at least do something about that?
While you're here, why don't you listen to this?
If my body is so big, why do I have such tiny hands?
Oh what? Now you're annoyed with my existence?
You're griefin' me out!

Step inside my drawing room and see what’s on the table
A word processor and joint papers amongst all the clutter
Of the rubble and the confusion so drawn to me
What century am I in anyway?
All dead men pay their tolls
What substances are gold?
On these dusty roads we know
I’d love to see Aurora Borealis at least once
I think I’d love to share that with you
Spinning on my turntable, Ramones or Johnny Thunders
I’ve got cigarettes I can’t quit yet, these V.O.C.s are killing me
(Damn these V.O.C.s)
Blunderous and able I will still get by
Your photograph by my side
All dead men pay their tolls
What substances are gold
On these dusty roads we know
I’d love to see the Nile Delta with my own eyes once
I think I’d love to share that with you
It’s like watching children grow
Or playing in the snow
I’m not wasting time when I’m with you
I’m not wasting time when I’m with you

Doomed To Drown
01:44

Why is it so hard to stop drinking and smoking?
It's intriguing
With all this sleeping
My breath is wreaking
Liver's soaking
But my thoughts all sound the same
Trapped in the past of hopes
I think I found the flame
Count the change for a pack of smokes
(Doomed to drown)
Ain't got a clue
Don't know what this is causing
Whiskey and cold brew
I feel my body rotting

There's Snow Way In Hell
02:15
|
|

You can feel it in your bones!
This frigid weather has gotten people frozen to stone.
The sparkle of the snow is glimmering!
At the expense of bodies shivering.
This season is rude and pissed.
While most of us are not used to this.
It's hard to sleep fair "under" cold sheets and blankets.
Three pairs of socks to hold heat and I'm still shaking!
There's snow in Texas!
The roads are reckless!
Need to have the lights working.
The water is running to keep the pipes from bursting!
This is far past intense. I want to start packing shit.
But I'm afraid of car accidents.
IT'S COLD AS HELL!!!
And the roads have failed.
Sheets of ice...Slipping and Sliding.
Brakes are not gripping. Traffic is gliding.
Can't wait for the summer.

Bridges
02:14
|
|||
Every single bridge you cross ends up in ashes.
And whatever is left standing is tilting and snapping more as time passes.
There's many people heading in different directions, but it only takes one person to fuck up momentum. Your anger is an obsession.
You're making life harder on yourself.
Content in your misery.
So quick to blow up like a short fuse.
Don't take kindly to good news.
It's tough to cross rough waters when you have nothing to stand on.
A lack of close people to rely on will leave you stranded-paddling-and cold.
Making life harder on yourself.
Content in your misery!

You can tell me what you're really thinking
The words you're thinking will be all that I hear
We'll sail on winds of conversation
I know the feeling of having no one there
I've been around let me warn you
I've found there's nothing to fear
I've been down I've been scorned
That's why I'm here
That's why I care
I'll lend an ear like Van Gogh
A'int that a bit on the nose, yo?
How about I just be a guy
Standing by your side
I should have wrote that on a Valentine's Day card
I should have fixed that hole in your roof
What I should have done or shouldn't have done All the shit that I'm done with now
Am I just begging for reproof?
Am I a diamond in the rough inside your heart
Or a FILTHY THIEVING JESTER ON MY KNEES?
Can I just be a guy
Standing by your side?
